操作系统在管理这些资源的方式上有根本的不同。实际上,它们在核心概念方面存在差异,例如定义什么算作系统,什么算作应用时间。

“可用磁盘空间”?什么算作“磁盘空间?”所有设备的所有分区?多引导环境中的外部分区怎么样?

我不认为Windows和* nix之间有足够明确的共识可以实现这一点。实际上,在称为Windows的各种操作系统之间甚至可能没有任何共识。是否有一个适用于XP和Vista的Windows API?
