我在Ubuntu 20.04上通过删除ppa仓库来消除错误信息。我花了很长时间才找到确切的命令参数，所以这可能会帮助其他人:-).我使用了这个命令。

apt-add-repository -r ppa:certbot/certbot

之后，下面的命令没有产生任何错误。

apt update
apt-get update

最新的源码工作得很好，并且可以用以下命令安装 安装certbot的单行本.

curl -o- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vinyll/certbot-install/master/install.sh | bash

这就给我解决了，还有一个卸载也等certbot PPA再修复。
